The Bull explores our tendency to catastrophise. Set against the picturesque Chiltern Hills, this film follows a family walk that transforms into a tense confrontation with a field of cows—and a bull. Inspired by a true story, the film presents how an ordinary moment can escalate into absurd crises, driven by fear.
By reinterpreting this experience through the perspective of a Cantonese family, I had hoped to highlight the universal similarity of a family row. The Bull takes a small, ridiculous moment and asks: how do we make it so much worse?
